01 / Getting the ticket before the ticket gets lost
Step 1 · Where it starts
A driver photographs the scale ticket at the elevator and it is filed before he has pulled off the pad. Nothing to log into, nothing to remember at the end of the day.
Step 2 · What gets automated
Gross, tare, moisture, destination and date come straight off the photographed ticket onto the load record, and any figure the reader cannot make out is returned marked rather than filled in with a plausible guess.
Step 3 · The process it plugs into
Loads roll up per farm, per field and per customer as the day happens, so a settlement question in February is answered from images and figures rather than from memory.
Step 4 · SolaceSentry review
Anything that changes what somebody is paid is confirmed by the office before it counts. A misread moisture figure is a real argument with a neighbour.
Step 5 · What leaves the system
A haul record that is complete on the day it happened, with the original ticket sitting behind every line of it.
Proof metric: Loads with a missing or unreadable ticket at the end of harvest, and how long a settlement dispute takes to resolve.
