01 / Getting trucks to the water in the right order
Step 1 · Where it starts
A driver or a farmer checks one page on a phone and sees their slot, the current wait, and whether the window has moved. No calling the office to ask.
Step 2 · What gets automated
Inbound requests are sorted by commodity, load size and how far the truck has to come, and the queue is rebuilt automatically when a window shifts instead of being retyped.
Step 3 · The process it plugs into
One list holds every truck expected against the window it is filling. When the tow runs late, the people affected are told before they leave the farm, not after they have queued for an hour.
Step 4 · SolaceSentry review
A dispatcher owns the sequence. The system proposes an order and flags the conflicts; the person with the radio decides who actually goes.
Step 5 · What leaves the system
A slot list the yard and the drivers are both looking at, plus a record of what moved and what got pushed to the next window.
Proof metric: Average truck wait at the scale, and the number of loads that missed a window and had to come back.
